TurbinePROs completed the disassembly and removal of 2 combustion Westinghouse 251 turbine packages, which included removal
of the turbine enclosures, turbine and inlet skid with mounted equipment, gearbox and turning gear, auxiliary skid, and disassembly of the generator into transportable sections for shipment.
We decommissioned and prepared the units for relocation while preserving equipment integrity and providing clear documentation for future reinstallation. Work was executed in a phased manner with safety first protocol: mobilization and site setup, enclosure removal, major equipment disassembly, generator disassembly, and final loadout support.
Throughout the project, the team maintained identification, match marking, and segregation of components and hardware to support efficient reassembly and minimize risk of damage during handling and transport.
Execution was coordinated closely with the client’s site representatives to ensure alignment with site safety requirements, access constraints, and logistics plans. Daily communication, progress updates, and a final field completion summary was provided to capture the status of all major assemblies and their shipment readiness.
Overall, this project followed a systematic approach to gas turbine package removal and preparation for relocation, focused on safety, equipment protection, and clear technical documentation provided.
